Trickster à Kanehsatake

Depuis maintenant 3 semaines, Trickster est arrivé à Kanehsatake. Ce sont des retrouvailles entre Maxime Larose, un des artistes-intervenants et les jeunes qui s'étaient déjà rencontrés lors d'un Trickster ultérieur dans la communauté (retour en 2012 avec Trickster@Kanesatake)

Dans le cadre des cours de Mohawk, Arts ou Gym des élèves de secondaire 1 et 2 de l'école Ratihen:te, Maxime et Kena Molina, autre artiste-intervenante sur place, donnent, une fois semaine, des ateliers d'expression et de création. Ils travaillent en collaboration avec les enseignants de ces cours respectifs Brenda, Julie et Brandon. Nous les remercions de leur accueil chaleureux, mais surtout de leur précieuse implication.

Déjà, en seulement 3 rencontres, les jeunes ont fait connaissance avec l'équipe d'artistes-intervenants, se sont fait présenter un conte par Brenda, se sont déplacés à la Place de Pins pour s'en inspirer, ont entamé la fabrication de masques et de décors, tout en participant à des atelier d'expression corporelle et théâtrale. Tout porte à croire qu'ils arriveront à monter un spectacle haut en couleurs afin de le présenter à l'école primaire de la communauté à la mi décembre.

Pendant ce temps, idAction continue de donner des ateliers dans la communauté et à l'hiver, Trickster reviendra pour un projet avec les enfants de l'école primaire où sera présenté le spectacle des adolescents qui y ont participé à l'automne.  Nous sommes très reconnaissant de pouvoir collaborer avec les jeunes de la communauté de Kanehsatake, tout au long de l'année.
