Le projet Métissages Urbains accueille Lili Sohn

Métissages Urbains, c’est reparti !

À partir du lundi 16 novembre, nous accueillerons une nouvelle artiste à bord de idAction Mobile, notre caravane philosophique. Et l’artiste invitée de cette résidence n’est autre que Lili Sohn.

Ce nom ne vous dit rien ?

Lili gagne pourtant à être connue.

Car Lili, en plus d’être une talentueuse illustratrice et dessinatrice de bd, est une battante qui a le super pouvoir de "transformer le caca en paillettes".

C’est-à-dire ?

En février 2014, elle est diagnostiquée d’un cancer du sein à seulement 29 ans. La nouvelle est dure à encaisser. D’autant plus que cette jeune française vit à l’époque à Montreal, loin de sa famille restée en France. Au lieu de se laisser abattre, elle décide alors de créer un blog afin de tenir informé ceux qui lui sont chers. Mais pas question de décrire avec pathos l’évolution de sa maladie. Non, au contraire. Celle qui aime "raconter des histoires, comprendre les trucs compliqués et rire des choses les plus horribles et absurdes", choisis de se livrer sous la forme d’une bd humoristique. Et elle commence par donner un nom au mal qui la ronge : sa tumeur s’appellera Gunther. Tchao Günther est né.

Pendant plus d’un an via son blog, elle croque et décrit avec humour son parcours, tout en informant sur la réalité du cancer. Puis, un éditeur la contacte et lui propose de publier sa bd. La Guerre des Tétons, tome 1 sort alors au Québec, en France, en Belgique et en Suisse. L’aventure ne s’arrête pas là, et le tome 2 est prévu pour janvier 2016. Et c’est comme ça que son « caca » s’est transformé en « paillettes ».

Alors vous me direz, "c’est très bien tout ça, mais quel est le lien avec l’inclusion sociale que défend Exeko ?"

 

Lili Sohn et nous, avons beaucoup de choses en commun.

D’abord, l’envie de raconter les histoires dont personne n’ose parler. Il faut en effet beaucoup de courage pour oser rire du cancer. Il en faut aussi pour donner l’opportunité à ceux qui vivent dans la rue de dessiner leur vie. À partir de lundi, Lili ira donc à la rencontre des personnes en situation d’itinérance, des personnes mises au banc de la société, pour leur proposer de créer ensemble des bds sur leurs expériences de vie. Le but de ces Portraits de rues est de permettre à un maximum de gens de se raconter. Toutes ces personnes que nous croisons quotidiennement dans les rues de Montréal ont tous une histoire qui leur est propre. Ils sont tous les fils et filles de quelqu’un, ont été aimés et ont aimé. Grâce aux bds qui seront créées pendant cette résidence, nous espérons ainsi contribuer modestement à faire changer le regard que nous portons sur les personnes en situation d’itinérance.

Et puis, nous croyons aussi que l’énergie créatrice de Lili et sa capacité de résilience pourront générer de belles rencontres. Parce que le projet Portraits de rues est empreint de la même envie de créer malgré l’adversité, de la même force, que Tchao Günther, nous pensons que de magnifiques choses peuvent jaillir de ces rencontres. Après tout, la transformation sociale passe d’abord par la transformation de l’individu.

Alors si vous croisez notre van, n’hésitez pas à vous arrêter pour venir rencontrer Lili et participer à votre façon à cette nouvelle aventure.
