Exeko au 3ème Forum jeunesse des Premières Nations

Le 3e Forum jeunesse des Premières Nations, organisé par le Réseau jeunesse des Premières Nations du Québec et du Labrador, s'est tenu du 22 au 25 août, au Château Mont-Saint-Anne à Beaupré. Exeko y était pour une troisième année déjà!   Affiche du Forum (c) RJPNQL
J'ai eu la chance d'être présente avec ma collègue Agnès, durant les 2 premiers jours du Forum, afin d'aller à la rencontre des jeunes engagés dans leurs communautés. Plus de 10 nations du Québec étaient représentées par une centaine de jeunes enthousiastes et dynamiques!   Salle pleine au Forum ! (c) Exeko Par exemple, les co-fondateurs du Youth Forum de Kahnawake ont partagé leur expérience de mobilisation et d'engagement en expliquant comment ils ont créé leur comité jeunesse afin de représenter leurs intérêts et leurs préoccupations. Bref, les jeunes au Forum étaient tout à fait inspirants et ont beaucoup de choses à apporter à leurs communautés.   Drapeaux des Nations du Québec (c) Exeko Nous avons tenu un kiosque au Salon jeunesse du Forum pour présenter les programmes Trickster, IdAction et Idaction Mobile aux participants. Ce Salon réunissait les kiosques d'une vingtaine d'organismes autochtones et non-autochtones qui travaillent en collaboration avec les communautés.

Ce sont des événements comme ceux-là qui donnent la parole aux jeunes, qui créent des échanges riches et diversifiés, et qui mènent à des projets porteurs d'espoir. Ce Forum illustre tout le potentiel et l'énergie que les jeunes apportent dans leurs communautés.
