Découverte et échanges sur les cultures autochtones au barbecue de Plein Milieu !

Ce mercredi, Plein Milieu organisait son premier barbecue d’été ayant pour thème « La reconnaissance des cultures autochtones », et ce, quelques jours avant la journée nationale des Autochtones qui se déroulera au Canada le 21 juin. C'était aussi l'occasion pour Exeko de renforcer les liens et la collaboration avec l'organisme.

Alexandra et Vinciane avec la van idAction Mobile étaient de la partie et ont profité de la belle ambiance pour animer un atelier sur les perceptions culturelles, nos méconnaissances ou les idées qu’on se fait de celle des autres. Grâce à l’équipe de Plein Milieu et aux participants, le parc Milton s’est transformé en un bel espace d’échanges, de mixité sociale, de rencontres culturelles entre Autochtones et non-Autochtones. "Quelle est ta perception des autres cultures ? Quelle perception as-tu de ta propre culture ? Quelle perception ont les autres de ta culture ?", voici les questions qui ont été le fil conducteur et amenées chacun à participer aux débats.

De bon augure aussi pour les prochains ateliers idAction qui se dérouleront lors des Journées Oasis tous les mardis des mois de juillet et août au square Saint-Louis ou à la station Mont-Royal.

Comme l’année passée, venez nourrir votre corps et votre esprit ! Au programme : des ateliers de réflexion sociale et philosophiques entremêlés d’activités (vox-pop, rallye photographiques, énigmes). Tout le monde est invité à y participer : que tu connaisses Plein Milieu ou non, que tu passes par hasard dans le parc ou que tu habites dans le quartier, c’est l’occasion de partir à la rencontre des nombreuses personnes fréquentant les lieux, qui, sans nécessairement se parler, se croisent régulièrement.

 

idAction Mobile sera à nouveau la semaine prochaine pour le traditionnel et fameux barbecue de la Saint-Jean. Rendez-vous le 25 juin dans la ruelle de Plein Milieu (4677 st-Denis) entre 17h et 19h....

... Et on a hâte de vous voir aux ateliers idAction dès le 8 juillet pour les Journées Oasis !
