Exposition D'un oeil différent

La 5e édition de l’exposition d’art « D’un œil différent » se tiendra à l’Écomusée du fier monde du 10 au 14 mars 2010, dans le cadre de la Semaine québécoise de la déficience intellectuelle.
Organisé par l’Association de Montréal pour la déficience intellectuelle (AMDI), les Centres de réadaptation en déficience intellectuelle Gabrielle-Major et Lisette-Dupras, Exeko et La Gang à Rambrou, cet événement de sensibilisation grand public présente les œuvres de près de 120 artistes provenant de différents ateliers d’art et dont la grande majorité vivent avec une déficience intellectuelle. Rassemblant en un même lieu des artistes ayant ou non une déficience intellectuelle et ayant en commun la même passion pour la création, cette exposition interpelle les visiteurs par l’humanisme qui s’en dégage.
Neufs artistes d’Exeko, Wayne Schoenfeld, François Gourd, Marc-André Goulet, Stéphan Ballard, Olivier Lefebvre, Clément Loisel, Johanna Autin, Cyril Assathiany et Christine Tremblay, y présenteront leurs œuvres.

Nos projets autochtones en colloque à Québec

À l'occasion de la Rencontre Régionale "Accord de règlement - Pensionnats indiens" de la Commission de la santé et des services sociaux des Premières Nations du Québec et du Labrador, Exeko a été invité à présenter ses deux nouveaux programmes - L'Effet Trickster - et - Initiatives d'ici !. L’accueil et le retour des communautés ont été des plus favorables, nous confirmant le besoin et l’intérêt pour des projets de guérison du genre.

En route vers Kitcisakik

Exeko vient de réaliser, en étroite collaboration avec Maxime Lee Larose, une nouvelle mission chez les Anicinapek de Kitcisakik en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, les 12 et 13 décembre dernier. Une équipe de prés de 10 artistes s’est joint à l’expédition : Maxime Lee Larose, Marie-Christine Simoneau, Cyril Assathiany, Chantal Simard, Rosalie Hudon, Philippe Thibaudeau, Elize Deguire, Jenny Ritchie et Kena Molina.
 
Le samedi, la mission s’est ouverte par une animation dans les rues de la communauté, puis un spectacle de prés de 90 minutes a été offert à la maison des jeunes. La journée de dimanche a été consacrée à une séance de conte interactif avec les jeunes, qui ont eu à cœur de revisiter ainsi des histoires traditionnelles de la communauté.
Échasses, clown, main à main, jonglerie, manipulation, acrobatie, musique, magie, … les artistes avaient plus d’un tour dans leur sac pour venir partager ces moments de plaisir avec les jeunes et les moins jeunes, et ainsi leur permettre de s’évader, ne serait ce que le temps d’un spectacle, des conditions de vie souvent difficiles dans la communauté.
Cette mission a aussi été l’occasion de discuter avec la communauté des possibilités de développer une collaboration à plus long terme par l’implantation de l’Effet Trickster, un programme d’intervention socioculturel récemment lancé par Exeko.
